Help Sought In Search For Suspects In Murder Of Family Dollar Manager
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police and local activists were asking for help identifying the suspects in a series of robberies at Family Dollar store, including one in which the manager was shot and killed earlier this month.
Family Dollar employees stood with crisis responder Andrew Holmes and Rev. Michael Pfleger outside St. Sabina Catholic Church on Friday, holding flyers with surveillance camera images of the robbers.
Holmes said he is posting the flyers near Family Dollar stores in hopes of tracking down the suspects.
"Please turn these individuals in, because your son or your daughter could have been working for Family Dollar. It's not about snitching, it's just about you reporting a crime," he said.

On July 5, 30-year-old JQuinn McCune was killed when he confronted a shoplifter at the Family Dollar at 79th and Ashland. The shoplifter pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.
Investigators have said they are looking for two suspects, who were involved in at least one other Family Dollar robbery, and possibly as many as four altogether.

A frustrated Pfleger said people need to stop being silent.
"Open up your damn mouths, and speak. Stop protecting murderers," he said. "A lot of these people are out here shooting, they don't care about the police, but they're going to get afraid when the community says 'Hell no, you're not going to do this anymore on our watch.' When that point comes, you'll start to see the tide turn."
Holmes said there is a $6,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the suspects.
