Bears' Eddie Royal, Zach Miller Enter Concussion Protocol

By Chris Emma--

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- (CBS) Just days into training camp, the Bears are already being tested with injuries.

Bears coach John Fox listed 13 players on Monday's injury report, which included veteran tight end Zach Miller missing practice with a concussion.

"He felt a little funny last night and didn't feel well this morning," Fox said of Miller.

Receiver Eddie Royal left early in practice with what's being ruled a concussion as well. Royal has joined Miller in the NFL's concussion protocol.

Rookie outside linebacker Leonard Floyd was limited in practice with a shoulder injury. He has been a full participant in training camp just once, that coming Sunday. Nick Kwiatkoski, the Bears' fourth-round pick of this past draft, remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller was limited in practice with an ankle sprain. With his absence, Bryce Callahan and Sherrick McManis worked in as replacements.

Additionally, two of the Bears' undrafted free agent priorities, tight end Ben Braunecker and outside linebacker Roy Robertson-Harris, are missing what could be key reps while battling injuries. Braunecker left practice with a right ankle injury and wore a protective boot. Robertson-Harris left Thursday's practice with a heat-related illness and has yet to return.

With 14.4 percent of their 90-man roster on the injury report, the Bears will gladly welcome an off day Tuesday before returning to work in Bourbonnais on Wednesday.
