Man Robs Second Suburban Bank In Past Month

CAROL STREAM (CBS) -- A man robbed his second west suburban bank in less than a month Tuesday morning, according to the FBI.

The most recent robbery happened at a Bank of America branch at 506 S. Schmale Rd. in Carol Stream at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday, FBI spokesman Garrett Croon said.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s or 40s, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 with a medium build, according to the FBI. He was wearing a black baseball hat, red button-down shirt and surgical mask.

The same man robbed a bank in west suburban Glendale Heights at 4:51 p.m. July 29, according to the FBI.

He walked up to the teller at the TCF Bank branch inside a Jewel-Osco at 2164 Bloomingdale Rd. and handed the teller a note demanding money, authorities said. He left through the north exit of the store with an unspecified amount of cash.

During that robbery, he wore a black cowboy hat, black suit, light-colored shirt and medical mask, according to the FBI.
