Report: 2 Of The 3 Fans Who Ran Onto Field During White Sox Game Did So On $500 Bet, Have Bail Set At $50,000

(CBS) Two of the three fans who ran onto the field during the ninth inning of the White Sox-Mariners game Thursday night at U.S. Cellular Field did so on a $500 bet and have now have had their bail set at $50,000, DNAinfo Chicago reported.

The two men arrested and charged with criminal trespass of a place of public amusement were 21-year-old Bailey Smith and 21-year-old Peter Stahulak, both of Downers Grove, according to DNAinfo Chicago. The $50,000 bail figure means the two men will have to come up with $5,000 to post bond.

The other fan to race onto the field was 26-year-old Jose Beltran of Hanover Park, DNAinfo Chicago reported. He was hit with the same charge and had his bail set at $75,000, having had a prior record, DNAinfo Chicago reported.

"That is the first time I ever had people run out on the field when I was pitching," said White Sox closer David Robertson, who was pitching at the time of the chaos. "The first two guys, I said to myself, 'OK, now they have it under control.' The next guy kind of just got me angry.

"I guess it made sense to the third guy to go on," Robertson said. "They were all tired after chasing the first two guys. Makes sense."

The White Sox won the game 7-6 on a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth.
