Rahm Emanuel Loses Sports Wager To Houston's Mayor
(CBS) The Bears' loss to the Texans cost Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel a sports wager with his Houston counterpart Sunday.
Emanuel and Sylvester Turner made a friendly bet on the outcome of the weekend's sporting events between the two cities: the three-game Cubs-Astros series and the Bears-Texans matchup. Each baseball game was worth a point, while the football game was worth two.
The score was 1-1 entering Sunday after the Cubs and Astros split their first two, so the Texans' 23-14 victory against the Bears gave Turner the win. Emanuel owes him some deep-dish pizza. Turner wagered brisket on his end.
