1 Killed In Fiery Crash Near NW Indiana Airport
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A person was found dead with severe burns after a motor vehicle crash near a northwest Indiana airport Sunday afternoon.
The person, whose age and gender were unknown, was pronounced dead at 5:35 p.m. at Lowell Airport, 14705 Belshaw Road in unincorporated West Creek Township, according to the Lake County coroner's office.
A spokesperson for the Lake County sheriff's office could not immediately be reached for comment. Calls to the airport went unanswered Sunday night.
