Harry Caray's Hosts Chicago Cubs Playoff Rally

CHICAGO (CBS) – Harry Caray's hosted Tuesday morning a Chicago Cub's Playoff Rally in River North led by Cubs hall of famer Ryne Sandberg.

The rally took place Tuesday from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. with a breakfast and special Happy Hour. CBS 2's Susanna Song was able to join the fun and speak with some Chicago icons.

The 'first lady of Chicago baseball,' Dutchie Caray, widow of Harry Caray, along with actor and Chicago native Joel Murray was among Harry Caray's CEO Grant DePorter, Ivy Man, Harry Caray impersonators and other Chicago icons in attendance. The Plain White T's also performed.

Harry Caray's CEO and co-author of the 2008 book Hoodoo: Unraveling the 100 Year Mystery of the Chicago Cubs, Grant DePorter believes the Cubs' 108-year-long World Series drought will come to an end in 2016. The Cubs curse and superstition expert uncovered new connections between points made in Hoodoo all relating back to the number 108.

Harry Caray's celebrated the lucky number '108' during the rally with $1.08 beers from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and a 108-year-old Cubs World Series celebration menu.

The first post-season game for the Chicago Cubs is Friday at Wrigley Field at 8:15 p.m. against either the New York Mets or the San Francisco Giants.
