Blackhawks Send Brandon Mashinter, Mark McNeill To AHL Rockford
(CBS) A day before the season opener, the Blackhawks continue to make moves on the fringes of their roster.
Chicago on Tuesday assigned forwards Brandon Mashinter and Mark McNeill to AHL Rockford. Mashinter had four goals and one assist in 41 games with the Blackhawks in 2015-'16, while McNeill appeared in one game last season.
The Blackhawks open their season by hosting the Blues on Wednesday night at the United Center.
