Jay Cutler, Jeremy Langford Rejoin Bears In Practice

By Chris Emma--

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- As expected, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and running back Jeremy Langford were back to work Tuesday at Halas Hall.

Cutler was cleared from his thumb sprain on Monday, coach John Fox revealed. Langford has yet to practice since suffering his ankle sprain in Week 3 against Dallas.

Fox wasn't required to update the injury report. The Bears were missing receiver Eddie Royal, guard Josh Sitton, guard Kyle Long, cornerback Tracy Porter, linebacker Danny Trevathan, defensive lineman Eddie Goldman and cornerback Bryce Callahan, among others in Tuesday's practice.

Tuesday served as the Bears' usual Monday, which meant a light workout at Halas Hall. The team will take Wednesday off and return to work on Thursday in preparation for Monday night's contest with the first-place Vikings.

The Bears did complete a series of roster moves, which included placing quarterback Brian Hoyer on injured reserve with a broken left arm. Veteran running back Joique Bell was waived in conjunction with Langford's return, and the Bears added running back David Cobb to the practice squad. Tight end Marcel Jensen was released. Offensive lineman Cornelius Edison was signed to the active roster, adding depth with the absences of Long and Sitton.

Additionally, the Bears claimed tight end Daniel Brown off waivers and signed lineman Arturo Uzdavinis to the practice squad.
