A 14-year-old boy was shot about the same time in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side. He was standing outside in the 200 block of South Lotus when someone walked up, shot him in the arm and leg and then took off in a vehicle, police said. He was taken in good condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
