Addison Russell's Grand Slam Ball In Hands Of Cubs Fan
(CBS) -- It was perhaps the most dramatic moment so far in the World Series -- Addison Russell's grand slam that blew Game 6 open for the Cubs on Tuesday night.
But what happened to the ball?
It turns out it ended up in the hands of a Cub fan.
Joe Wright posted on Facebook that a ball boy gave it to him after a fan threw it back on the field.
Wright told CBS 2 he's keeping it for his sons.
"My grandpa was a die-hard, my dad was a die-hard, both have passed," he said. "This is for my two sons."
The Cubs went on to a 9-3 win against the Indians at Progressive Field, forcing a winner-take-all Game 7 on Wednesday night.
