Donald Trump's Muslim Ban Pledge Deleted From Website
CHICAGO (CBS) - As technology continues to evolve, one pillar of online safety has remained unchanged: be careful what you do on the internet, because once it's published, it never goes away.
The Donald Trump campaign is learning this first hand as Trump's infamous ban on Muslim immigration statement miraculously vanished from the site sometime during the morning of election day.
Thankfully it's 2016 and the truth is easier than ever to be found out, and it didn't take much digging to figure out the discrepancy.
According to The Daily Dot, via Wayback Machine the page was on the site through 8:52am EST election morning. After a crawl of the site later in the day, the press release original link redirects to the site's homepage.
At least some people found this new development humorous.
The proposal has since been restored to his website.
"The website was temporarily redirecting all specific press release pages to the homepage," his campaign said in a statement.
