Police: Man Killed In West Lawn Shooting
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot to death early Saturday in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.
Just before 2 a.m., the 31-year-old was driving in the 6800 block of South Springfield when someone outside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.
He was driven to Holy Cross Hospital and was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office did not immediately have information on the death.
