Three Armed Robberies Reported In Austin
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are warning West Side residents after three armed robberies were reported in the Austin neighborhood.
One or two suspects approach the victims on the street, point a handgun at them and demand their property, according to the community alert from Area North detectives.
The robberies happened:
about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 8 in the 200 block of North Pine;
about 5:45 p.m. Nov. 9 in the 200 block of South Lotus; and
about 9:45 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 5300 block of West Madison.
One of the suspects was described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old, 165 to 175 pounds with a dark complexion and wearing all black clothing, police said. Two other suspects were described as a black males, about 18 years old, wearing all black, and a fourth suspect was described as a 5-foot-5 black female.
