Nearly 30 Dogs Rescued From Chicago Home

(CBS) – Nearly 30 dogs and puppies are looking for new homes after being rescued from severe neglect.

The Chicago Police Animal Crimes Unit was called to a home earlier this week and found the dogs in awful conditions.

The animals were rescued immediately and taken to PAWS Chicago and the city's animal control department, where they will be available to be adopted or fostered.

The dogs are all Chihuahua mixes, ranging in age from a few weeks to several years old.

They have received medical treatment; all are expected to make a full recovery.
