Reward Offered To Find Man Who Beat And Robbed 94-Year-Old Woman
(CBS) – Police are asking for help finding a man accused of robbing and beating up a 94-year-old grandmother and World War II veteran.
CBS 2's Charlie De Mar spoke with the woman's family.
On Wednesday, Josephine Regnier was attacked as she waited for a ride in front of her Garfield Ridge home.
"I just can't believe some scumbag would do this to a 94-year-old, helpless, vulnerable older woman," daughter Judy Dusk says.
Moments later, the suspect jumped into a stolen car and slammed into a pole.
The cameras at nearby Villa Rosa Pizza captured it all, including images of the suspect running away.
The business owner is putting up a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Regnier suffered broken ribs and a black eye, among other injuries, her daughter says.
Anyone with information is asked to call Chicago police.
