CHICAGO (CBS) – The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, and Porter counties beginning 6 p.m. Saturday evening.

The National Weather Service in Chicago issued a Winter Storm Warning with "significant, heavy snowfall" from 6 p.m. Saturday through midnight on Sunday.

The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.

The heaviest totals are expected along and north of I-88, with snow totals of 8 to 12 inches by Sunday evening. South of I-88 to I-80 corridor, totals of 6 to 10 inches are expected.

The National Weather Service warns of reduced visibility during heavier snow fall, likely below a mile at times.
