Man Burned, 3 Hurt Jumping From 2nd Floor In Fernwood House Fire

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Four people were injured in a house fire Saturday morning in the Far South Side Fernwood neighborhood, including three people who jumped from the house's second floor.

Crews were called to the house fire at 6:57 a.m. in the 200 block of West 105th Street, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lyle. The blaze was extinguished by 7:12 a.m.

Two teenage girls and a woman in her 20s were injured when they jumped from the second floor of the house, Lyle said. A man in his 40s also suffered burns.

One of the girls was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, while the other three people were taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Lyle said. All of their conditions were stabilized.

Eleven people have been displaced, according to CFD.
