Blackhawks Activate Marcus Kruger From IR

(CBS) The Blackhawks have activated forward Marcus Kruger from injured reserve, they announced Tuesday. He had been out since being placed on IR with an upper-body injury on Jan. 1.

The 26-year-old Kruger has two goals and eight assists in 39 games for the Blackhawks this season. He has long been a key figure in Chicago's penalty-killing unit as well.

In other Blackhawks news, forward Dennis Rasmussen missed morning skatearound because of sickness. His availability for Tuesday night is unclear.
