Cubs Call Up Jeimer Candelario To Serve As 26th Man In Doubleheader

(CBS) The Cubs have called up infielder Jeimer Candelario from Triple-A Iowa to serve as their 26th man for a doubleheader against the Rockies on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Candelario is hitting .340 with four homers, 22 RBIs and a 1.093 OPS in 28 games at Triple-A this season.

Pregame for Game 1 of Cubs-Rockies starts at 12:35 p.m. on 670 The Score, with first pitch set for 1:10 p.m. Pregame for Game 2 starts at 7:05 p.m., with first pitch at 7:40 p.m.
