(CBS) The White Sox have claimed infielder Alen Hanson off waiver from the Pirates.
The 24-year-old Hanson hit .193 with eight runs in 37 games before Pittsburgh designated him for assignment last Friday. He’s played second base, shortstop, third base and right field this season.
He’s a career .205 hitter in 64 games across 2016 and 2017.
The White Sox’s 40-man roster is now full.
