White Sox Place Jake Petricka On 10-Day DL

(CBS) The White Sox have placed right-handed reliever Jake Petricka on the 10-day disabled list with a right elbow strain, they announced Thursday ahead of an afternoon game against Yankees.

In a corresponding move, Chicago recalled right-handed reliever Juan Minaya.

The 29-year-old Petricka is 1-0 with a 9.28 ERA in 10 2/3 innings this season.

Minaya, 26, is 1-0 with a 6.94 ERA in 11 2/3 innings over three stints with the White Sox this year.
