Bears Sign Receiver Alton Howard, Waive Kicker Andy Phillips

(CBS) The Bears have signed undrafted rookie receiver Alton Howard and waived kicker Andy Phillips, they announced Monday morning.

The 5-foot-7 Howard had 99 catches across four seasons at Tennessee.

Phillips was signed by the Bears in the second week of May as an undrafted free agent out of Utah, where he was a four-time all-Pac 12 selection.
