Body Found In Lake In The Hills Pond

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man's baody was found Tuesday morning in a pond at a park in northwest suburban Lake in the Hills.

Authorities were called at 10:36 a.m. for reports of a body in the water at Larsen Park at 1111 Pyott Rd., according to Lake in the Hills police.

The man was identified as 63-year-old Robert C. Van Ness Jr. of Algonquin, according to the McHenry County coroner's office.

Preliminary findings from an autopsy performed Wednesday revealed he had an enlarged heart that likely resulted in sudden cardiac arrest, causing him to fall into the water, according to the coroner's office.

It does not appear that he drowned.
