Teenager Abducted, Assaulted In Oak Park

OAK PARK (CBS) -- A teenage girl was abducted and sexually assaulted on Monday afternoon in west suburban Oak Park.

The 13-year-old girl was walking in the 600 block of Washington Blvd., around 4 p.m. when she was grabbed and pulled into a red Toyota.

After she was assaulted, she managed to escape and run to a friend's home and police were called.

The teen was treated at a local hospital and then released to her mother's care.

The victim was unable to provide a detailed description of her attacker, but did note he was about 6 feet tall.

A noticeable police presence watched over the campuses at all Oak Park schools Tuesday -- elementary, middle and high school.

Police say they have not received any previous reports matching the description of the red Toyota.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Oak Park police.
