Jeanette Hudson is a graduate of North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. While in college, she spent countless hours at the student-run station, WONC-FM 89.1, learning a variety of roles from traffic reporter, news anchor, and DJ to doing behind the scenes projects and promotions.
Jeanette also completed numerous internships and one of them led to a job in traffic with Westwood One/Metro Networks. She learned Chicago traffic from the ground up from some of the best people in the industry, putting together information behind the scenes and reporting the traffic during weekend overnights on WBBM.
In the years that followed, she worked for many Chicagoland stations reporting traffic during morning and afternoon rush hours, and also did production work at several Chicago TV stations. Eventually, she became the last full-time airborne reporter for WGN radio. She puts that experience to good use now when she fills in for fellow reporter Kris Habermehl in Chopper 780 on WBBM and our sister station WBBM-TV (CBS2).
Jeanette loves the challenge of putting together the best information for our listeners, and helping Chicago area drivers figure out the quickest routes to get from place to place. She considers it a privilege to be working on-air in Chicago, and looks forward to making every day count.
Jeanette lives in the southwest suburbs with her husband Paul and dog Calvin. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and spoiling Calvin.
