Joe Collins
Joe has been the afternoon traffic reporter on WBBM since 2000, and has been delivering traffic on Chicago area radio stations for going on (gasp!) twenty years! Joe has worked in many areas of broadcasting, including music radio, news radio, talk radio, and voice-overs, and he believes he has a good face for radio!
Joe is a lifelong Chicagoan born and raised in beautiful historic Morgan Park. He graduated from St. Xavier on the South Side and has worked at a number of other jobs other than radio, not least pizza delivery, book reviewer, and wedding deejay!
He has a wide variety of interests, including: theater (acting, directing, producing—he’s even penned a couple of plays); reading; writing; bicycling; trivia (he competes in tournaments locally—some of that useless knowledge has to come in handy somewhere); fundraising; and acting as master of ceremonies for various functions throughout the Chicago area. He is humbled by the opportunity to be on the air in the greatest city in the world every day. See you subsequently.
