Mike is a weekend host on the 670 airwaves, and you can most often hear him co-hosting with Steve Rosenbloom on Saturdays at 10 a.m. He grew up on the Northwest Side and graduated from St. Pat’s (several years before colleague Joe Ostrowski). Mike then graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which is where he got his start doing sports radio at the great student station WPGU 107.1 The Planet. After graduation, he got an MFA in journalism at Columbia College and worked in many capacities in both radio and TV. On the radio side, he worked at Illinois Radio Network, where he was sports director until 2005. On the TV side, he worked at SportsChannel, Fox Sports Net and Comcast SportsNet.
In 2005, Mike started at 670 The Score, and it has been a great run. In addition to his weekend hosting duties, Mike also enjoys covering games, primarily the Bears and Cubs, and is a fill-in host and update anchor. Mike and his wife, Stacey, have three children and live in Arlington Heights. He’s a lifelong Cubs fan, though he also enjoys the White Sox too — yes, it is possible.
