I started my career as a Chicago traffic reporter right here on Newsradio 780, back in 1988. Folks dislike road construction today as much as they did back in then.
I really enjoy the opportunity to bring information to the listeners, which is one of the reasons why I really love radio. It is the immediacy and intimacy of radio that I appreciate. I have also had stints as a traffic reporter in Chicago television at several stations.
I have been a life-long Chicagoland resident, enjoying every minute of warm weather along the lakefront. Considering Chicago’s fickle climate, I must count every minute of warm weather, as they are too few and far between!
A while back, we installed the WBBM Traffic Tip Line, at (312) 346-CARS. I have heard from thousands and thousands of listeners, and I could not be more grateful to all the help they have provided not only myself, but also the thousands and thousands of drivers out on the roads.
I would like to thank everyone who has dialed that number with a traffic tip. It is also a wonderful opportunity for me to interact with our listeners.
I continue working the overnight shift on WBBM-AM. Call me some time with your traffic tip!
