Two In Custody After Shots Fired On Bishop Ford

The shooting happened about 11 p.m. in the northbond lanes of I-94, between 111th Street and Stony Island Avenue, according to Illinois State Police Sgt. Alex Diaz. Two vehicles were involved in the incident.

Off-Duty Police Sergeant Shoots, Kills Gunman In Mount Greenwood

The sergeant watched the 45-year-old man shoot another male about 6:30 p.m. in a business near 111th Street and Spaulding Avenue, according police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Officers could be seen investigating inside Blackthorn Pub, at 3300 W. 111th St.



Man Dies After Palos Hills Crash

Authorities responded to the crash on LaGrange Road, or Route 45, near 111th Street at 5:08 p.m., Cook County sheriff’s office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari said. A 22-year-old man, identified as Giedrius Lisnicenka, was riding his motorcycle south on LaGrange when it hit the back of a stopped vehicle.
