About 5:30 p.m., 37-year-old Torrente G. Pickens was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle in the 100 block of East 44th Street, police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
Brandon Torres, 21, was in the backseat of a vehicle in the 1600 block of West 44th Street early Sunday, when a gunman on the street started firing into the vehicle.
The shooting occurred about 12:35 p.m. in the 1800 block of West 44th Street.
The most recent fatal shooting happened early Saturday in the South Chicago neighborhood.
An adult and a baby were struck and injured by a car Tuesday on the city’s Southwest Side.
Police have taken a woman into custody, after a man was stabbed in the back and died on the city’s South Side.
