Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse
A Chicago Police officer is facing sexual abuse charges after he allegedly kissed and fondled a 9-year-old girl, then threatened her mother.
A 66-year-old man Cook County prosecutors described as a “member of the clergy” allegedly gave a minor a copy of the Kama Sutra and said he kissed her because she was “shy” and he “wanted her to be more confident.”
Chicago police said 57-year-old John Hays was arrested Thursday, charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Prosecutors said, when the abuse started, the victim was only 8 years old.
