Tigers Advance To World Series

Max Scherzer capped a stupendous stretch for Detroit’s starting rotation, and the Tigers advanced to the World Series for the second time in seven years by beating the New York Yankees 8-1 Thursday for a four-game sweep of the AL championship series.

Game 4 Of ALCS Postponed By Threat Of Rain

Game 4 of the AL championship series between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers was postponed because of bad weather in the area Wednesday night – although Comerica Park was still dry when the game was called.

Sanchez, Tigers Beat Yanks For 2-0 Lead In ALCS
