About 8:15 p.m., a 46-year-old Arlington Heights man was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of Algonquin Road, east of Briarwood Drive, according to a statement from Mount Prospect police. The man was taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, where was he was pronounced dead.
