A man died Wednesday night after he was pulled from the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal near the Archer Heights neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
About 4:10 a.m., the 41-year-old driver was speeding near the corner of 41st Street and Pulaski Road when his vehicle clipped another vehicle, police News Affairs Officer Janel Sedevic said. He then lost control of his vehicle, which crashed in to a pole.
