Tiara M. Paul, 20, was stopped by patrolling officers in the Armour Square neighborhood about 5 p.m. in the 3400 block of South Wentworth Avenue for unsafe crossing between cars on a CTA train.
The most recent fatal shooting happened early Saturday in the South Chicago neighborhood.
“I think it’s incredible. I mean, we couldn’t have asked for anything better,” January Overton said. “I truly believe that this is gonna change drastically what’s happening on our block, and in the area.”
A south suburban Riverdale man was found shot dead in a vehicle in the South Side Armour Square community early Saturday.
Five of those killed were fatally shot, while a sixth was stabbed to death, authorities said.
