There is now a $10,000 reward being offered in the investigation into the recent theft of assault rifles from a South Side rail yard.
Chicago Police say the recent theft of 13 semi-automatic assault rifles from a South Side rail yard is a concern, but not a surprise, reports WBBM’s Terry Keshner.
The rifles were taken from a freight train container on South Lafayette Avenue in Englewood sometime between Sunday and Tuesday.
Jason E. Juarez, 24, of the 8800 block of South May Street, is charged with six counts of felony unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.
