Charges Dismissed Against Aunt Of Accused Teen Killer

Prosecutors argued Vandetta Redwood initially told police she was not there when 14-year-old Endia Martin was shot, but a cell phone video obtained by police put her at the scene. Judge Donald Panarese Jr. called the video “choppy” and “poor,” then ruled the state did not meet the burden of proof.

The suspect — whose name was not released because of her age — was due in Juvenile Court on Tuesday, to face one count of first-degree murder. The suspect’s 24-year-old uncle and a 17-year-old boy also were in custody.
