Chicago Air and Water Show
Last year, fans of Chicago’s Air and Water Show didn’t get to see the amazing skills of the U.S. military’s premier fighter jet pilots.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights are returning to the annual Chicago Air and Water Show.
Federal budget cuts left the show with a little less sizzle this year, as all military airshow flights like the Thunderbirds were cancelled. CBS 2′s Derrick Blakley found most spectators didn’t seem to notice.
The air and water show is this weekend with practice was taking place at the Gary Jet Center today, reports WBBM’S Terry Keshner.
Six new acts have been added to this year’s Chicago Air & Water Show – as organizers work to beef up a line-up depleted by budget issues in Washington.
