Thousands Volunteer Across City For Chicago Cares Serve-A-Thon

CBS 2’s Chelsea Irving reports some 5,000 volunteers gave up their sunny summer Saturday to spruce up the city.

Local Charities Preparing A Day Of Service For 9/11 Anniversary

This year, to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, President Barack Obama is encouraging Americans to volunteer or do something good for their community in a national day of service. For several years now on that date, thousands of Chicagoans have been doing just that.
