CBS 2’s Chelsea Irving reports some 5,000 volunteers gave up their sunny summer Saturday to spruce up the city.
This year, to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, President Barack Obama is encouraging Americans to volunteer or do something good for their community in a national day of service. For several years now on that date, thousands of Chicagoans have been doing just that.
The year is already well underway, and some of you may have not set a resolution for the year – or have already given up on one. Here’s a list to get you off to a good start.
