Cop Who Stole From Union Gets 12 Years

The former head of the Chicago Police Sergeants Association was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison for stealing more than $1 million from the union to fund a lavish lifestyle that prosecutors said included gambling trips, steak dinners and a down payment on a home, the Sun-Times is reporting.

The former president of the Chicago police sergeants’ union has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $1 million in union dues to pay for a lavish lifestyle, including a house in the Edgebrook neighborhood.
