Lee Hits Go-Ahead Slam For Pirates, Cubs Lose 7-5

Derrek Lee came off the disabled list and hit a go-ahead grand slam with two outs in the ninth inning to lift the Pittsburgh Pirates over the Chicago Cubs 7-5 on Saturday.

Starlin Castro homered and Matt Garza pitched seven shutout innings to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 1-0 win over the sliding Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday night.

DeWitt’s Two-Run Double Shuts Down Pirates

The Cubs trailed the entire game, unable to score a run until the eighth inning. As if starting the season with two straight losses was not an option, Chicago rallied to score five runs in the eighth inning , including a two-run double by Blake DeWitt that gave the Cubs the lead to win.
