Accused 124-MPH Driver Has Battery, DUI, High-Speed Convictions

Konnor Burns is charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, resisting a peace officer and driving at a speed of 124 mph on a 45-mph stretch of Plainfield-Naperville Road not far from his family home.

Judge Denies Cellini’s Bid For A New Trial

A federal judge denied a retrial Tuesday for longtime Illinois powerbroker William Cellini, rejecting arguments that he didn’t get a fair trial because a juror lied about her criminal past during jury selection.

Appellate Court Tosses Convictions Of E2 Nightclub Owners

A panel of the Illinois Appellate court has overturned the convictions of the owners of the E2 nightclub where 21 people were killed in a stampede to the exit in 2003 after a security guard used pepper spray in the crowded club.
