Officer Home From Hospital After Being Shot During Drug Raid

Police said a narcotics team was executing a search warrant at a home in the 2700 block of East 92nd Street around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, when someone inside the house shot at the officers. A bullet ricocheted off a piece of wood, and struck a 34-year-old tactical officer in the face.

The Chicago Police Department on Saturday announced that 22 alleged gang members were arrested and quantities of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis were seized during two drug market raids on Friday on the city’s South and West sides.
