Ban On Indoor Use Of E-Cigarettes Begins In Chicago

Earlier this year, the City Council voted to add e-cigarettes to the city’s indoor smoking ban, which prohibits smoking in bars, restaurants, and inside most other public buildings. Effective Tuesday, use of e-cigarettes has been added to that ban.

Smokers who’ve switched to electronic cigarettes will have to take their new habit outside with traditional smokers, after aldermen approved new limits on e-cigarettes on Wednesday.

If you’ve taken up use of electronic cigarettes in an effort to kick the habit – or simply get your nicotine fix without the smoke – you might soon have to find another option in most places in Chicago.
