Cops Rescue Man Who Tried To Jump From Elevated CTA Tracks

Police officers rescued a man who nearly fell off of elevated Pink Line tracks on Thursday, after he walked along the tracks for several blocks, then apparently tried to jump from a concrete bridge abutment.

Emanuel Pushes To Build Bloomingdale Trail, Upgrade Parks Citywide

Mayor Richard M. Daley had his Millennium Park, now Mayor Rahm Emanuel has his own plan to beautify the city with public space by investing $290 million in hundreds of parks over the next five years, including the long-delayed Bloomingdale Trail on the Northwest Side.
