Police Arrest West Suburban Man In Explosion At Neighbor’s Home

A west suburban man was charged Thursday with two felony counts in the case of an explosive device that damaged a home in his southeast Naperville neighborhood last fall.

Man Sought Pipe Bomb For NATO; Another Bragged About Bomb He Didn’t Have

Cook County prosecutors said Sunday that one man arrested earlier this week in connection with the NATO Summit said he could blow up a downtown bridge, though it turned out he didn’t have a bomb. Another man allegedly asked others to get him materials to make a pipe bomb.

Police: Fire Outside Glenview Hospital Not From Explosive Device

Two schools in Glenview were closed for the day on Wednesday, after authorities found what they originally said was believed to be a small explosive device that had gone off in the parking lot of a hospital nearby. But officials later said it was only a fire.
