West Suburbs Cleaning Up Fallen Trees After Powerful Storm

Parts of the western suburbs were still cleaning up Tuesday afternoon, after a fast-moving, hard-hitting storm uprooted trees as it blew through the area.

High Waves Sink Boats, Fallen Trees Crush Cars

Longtime boaters in Chicago said they’ve never seen anything like it. Strong winds and high waves sank nine boats and damaged 11 more after they were tossed from their moorings in Monroe Harbor overnight.
