Chicago Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said Wednesday he wants to set the record straight, following a “60 Minutes” report about suspects who were pressured to confess to crimes they didn’t commit.
Class-Action Suit Filed On Chicago Police Torture Claims
A group of attorneys filed a class-action lawsuit Tuesday to demand new hearings for scores of imprisoned men who claim their confessions were extracted through torture at the hands of Chicago police officers.
