The holiday train, which features Santa on a sleigh in an open flat car pulled by a six-car CTA train, will run Friday on the Green Line and travel along all CTA train lines through the end of November into December.
Some have called it “the train the grinches couldn’t kill,” because of the outcry that occurred when a handful of CTA managers once tried to discontinue it as a belt-tightening measure.
